unfriend – verb – To remove someone as a ‘friend’ on a social networking site such as Facebook.
Oxford University Press has announced that the New Oxford American Dictionary’s Word Of The Year (WOTY) for 2010 is social netword “unfriend,” sparking a nationwide outbreak of old people shaking their fists and cursing “the rap musics”. Says Oxford:
